1. They will shift your organs.
This is a myth often confused with the use of Corsets from the 18th century. Although this is true when wearing a steel boned, laced up corset, this is not true for Colombian made high compression shapewear which is often seamless and are not tight enough to shift organs or move ribs.
2. You should buy one size smaller for better results.
Many ladies are led to believe that if they go a size smaller, then the shapewear will be tighter and showing more significant results. However, we recommend against this as if you go a size smaller you will risk the high compression garment not fitting you at all. We recommend starting off with a size that you feel comfortable with, and then when you feel it is getting loose or when you are ready for a tinier waist, then go a size smaller from there.
3. You shouldn't wear high compression shapewear every day.
To achieve maximum results I do recommend to wear your shapewear or garment every day (if your goal is to achieve an hour-glass body) as it does over time mold your body. Make sure that your garment is comfortable so you can wear it for work, or your daily routine. I always suggest thinking of your shapewear as an underwear garment, we wear a bra every day to keep our girls in place, same with our shapewear, we have to wear it every day so our muffin top is always tucked in.
4. Shapewear is uncomfortable.
This is only true if your current shapewear garment is of low quality, but good high compression shapewear from a reputable store should never be uncomfortable as long as you have your correct size. You know that the garment you are wearing is of low quality if it is constantly rolling down, does not fit tight, see-through clothing, and makes no notable difference when wearing it (of course, if you are wearing the right size).
5. Shapewear garments are only for Post-Op
Although in the beginning Shapewear was mainly catered to the Post-Surgical community, as well as postpartum wear, nowadays there are many high compression garments that are made specifically for Daily Use to wear under daily clothing, work uniforms or dresses. These shapewear garments will make you lose 3-4 inches on your waist instantly when wearing them.
6. You have to exercise while wearing your shapewear
If your goal is to use your Shapewear garment at the gym to lose some extra weight, I would recommend wearing a Latex Waist Trainer when going to the gym to burn fat faster, do light workouts for abs or cardio, and eat clean. But if you only want to reduce inches instantly on your waist, and mold your body, I would recommend, as I said before, you wear a faja for everyday use without having to exercise. Please note that one helps you lose weight, the other helps you reduce inches only.
These are some of my recommendations for Daily use and comfortable shapewear as well as the Waist Trainer
